"1.5T whole body imaging without liquid helium superconducting magnet" was highly evaluated by experts

On June 25, 2019, experts from the China Medical Device Industry Association held a technical evaluation meeting on "1.5T Full Body Imaging Liquid-Free Helium Superconductor" at Xin Gaoyi Medical Devices Co., Ltd. This liquid helium magnet was developed successfully by Ningbo Goss, a subsidiary of Xin Gaoyi Holdings.

The expert group is composed of Chen Yazhu, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Institute of Biomedical Instruments of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Jin Yaqiu, a professor at Fudan University and a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chen Wufan, chief scientist of the National 973 Program, and Wang Weidong, a researcher at the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army (301 Hospital) of the Chinese. Jiang Tianchai, a doctoral tutor at the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wu Qiyao, director of the Department of Biomedical Electronic Engineering in the Department of Electronic Engineering of Beijing Polytechnic University, are composed of authoritative experts. The meeting was chaired by Academician Jin Yaqiu, Gao Si President Dr. Shasin carried out the project report, Xin Gaoyi General Manager Li Wei led the experts to visit the 1.5T-850mm aperture whole body imaging liquid helium magnet.

XinGaoyi independently developed 1.5T whole body imaging liquid-free helium superconducting magnet, the realization of 850mm aperture superconducting magnet direct conduction cooling technology, especially the creation of liquid-free helium magnet overall structure design, liquid-free helium superconducting switch, liquid helium superconducting connector, no liquid helium current leads and other key core technologies. The expert group agreed that the technology, which frees the medical whole-body magnetic resonance imaging system from its dependence on liquid helium, can be used in full-body imaging superconducting magnetic resonance systems, and is a transformative international cutting-edge technology. The successful transformation of this technology will have great social and economic benefits, which will have a far-reaching impact on the medical magnetic resonance industry and application. The Expert Group unanimously recommended that industrialization be achieved as soon as possible.
